The Vic Brake is an Engine Braking valve for 2 strokes. It creates engine braking that does not produce heat or affect engine performance. It is available for early style and late model KTM 250 and 300 cc engines. Multiple compression ratios are available for each, just by switching the inner dome, making it very easy to adjust for riding style and altitude.
Designed in the 70's, the Victor Valve is a decompression and braking valve intended for large 2 stroke engines.
It increases engine braking by releasing some of the air compressed by the piston, reducing the springback effect on the piston. It is activated with a thumb lever and cable. The thumb lever mounts to the clutch perch, replacing the clamp cap.
On long descents it's possible to overheat the rear brake. If it gets hot enough it will boil the fluid, leaving you with no rear brake. This device greatly reduces the use of the rear brake, keeping it cool for when you really need it.
Rough and long downhills that require a rider to use both the front brake, rear brake and clutch can be nerve wracking. Just by using the Vic Brake will keep the bike at a desired speed and keep the wheels straight.
